San Martín, Peru 65% DARK MILK now available!
After six years in existence, I am excited to announce Potomac’s first-ever milk chocolate bar, the new single-origin San Martín, Peru 65% DARK MILK!
I’ve been working on (fighting with, really) a dark milk bar for over a year. In that time, I’ve tried different cacao origins, milk types and sources, as well as several different formulations. A lot of these tests bordered on terrible–several even crossed that border. 🙂 So, you can understand why I’m so happy to finally be offering this new bar.
The intense fruit notes of my cacao from San Martín, Peru works perfectly with the creaminess of the milk. By using a high cacao percentage–especially for a milk chocolate!–the flavors and personality of the cacao is able to shine through. The resulting chocolate is rich and creamy, has a great texture, with notes of berries, cream, and caramel.
It is now available in the shop, and has already started going out to retailers.
DC Area Chocolate Lovers, come try the new bar at The Chocolate House!
On this upcoming Saturday, September 24th from 3-6pm, The Chocolate House is hosting a tasting of all of my chocolate, including the new dark milk. I’ll be there sampling bar and talking chocolate, answering questions, etc. Come on out, say hi and try some chocolate!
The Chocolate House is located at 1904 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009.
