Potomac Chocolate at Biagio’s November Sample Day
As I mentioned in my last entry, we debuted our first bar, the Upala 70% dark, last Saturday afternoon at Biagio Fine Chocolate’s November Sample Day.
I arrived a little late and the place was packed! A lot of these people know and love good chocolate, and they were about to try our first bar–I’ll admit, it was a little intimidating. Everyone really enjoyed it, though, and we received a lot of great compliments on it. I’m really happy with the reception it received. I’m really proud of the bar and I’m glad that others like it as much as I do.
We were able to meet a lot of you and spend a little time talking about the bar, Potomac and just chocolate in general. It was particularly cool meeting a few people I’ve met online but not in person, including The District Chocoholic and ChocophileNYC, as well as a few local food writers. It was also really cool getting to chat with a couple people who had attended the Smithsonian event last month.
Thanks to everyone who came out, and especially thanks to Biagio and his crew for their continued support and for letting us debut our bar there! I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting everyone. If you were there, comment and let me know what you think of our bar!
